Years ago, I ran two corporate events, fifty people each, over two full days, and I moved through the planning of both without a shred of doubt. I had a team to delegate to and a corporate account absorbing the risk of every decision.

A handful of years later, building my own business, I wanted to create something similar for the community I’d built. The exact same task felt daunting. I hadn’t lost the skill. What I’d lost was the scaffolding, the team, the budget, the safety net, that had been holding a piece of my confidence the whole time.
