Trust The Detour

You can sometimes stall when you push harder, because past a certain point more effort creates motion without traction and interrupts the landing time every decision, offer, and relationship needs. Trusting the detour means using an unplanned pause to let what’s in motion land and to gather the new information your original plan couldn’t hold.

We’re heading into the final quarter of the year, the season when so many founders and leaders reach for more. More hours, more launches, more follow-up. I’ve lived that pattern, and I’ve watched brilliant people repeat it at every level of growth.

In this solo chat, I build on my earlier conversation about embracing slowdowns, and I take it further. I share what a stalled collaboration grew into, and why the best outcomes so often live outside the edges of our original vision.

Through the lens of my Seasons Success Method and Self Care for Business philosophy, a well-read detour becomes a season correction. It brings greater impact, a steadier inner foundation, wealth that feels clean in your nervous system, and expansion you can sustain for years.

In This Episode:

  • Why more effort starts producing less past a certain point
  • Motion without traction and what it costs a high achiever
  • Landing time, and why decisions, offers, and relationships all need it
  • Why your vision is a snapshot, and where the new information lives
  • What a stalled collaboration grew into
  • Three questions for reading any detour you’re in
  • How a detour becomes a season correction heading into Q4
