The Loop That Still Catches Me, No Matter the Level

Earlier this year, I went through a season where my body was tired and my spirit was tired at the same time. The plan I’d built was still right in front of me, and I still believed in it completely. What caught me underneath that tiredness was a loop I recognized, one that still finds me no matter how much I’ve already built.

I found myself in a pattern from earlier seasons of my business. Wake up, scan for what’s wrong, reach for the next tool or teaching, and wait to earn the right to act until I’d fixed the thing first. That loop gets loudest exactly when your body and your spirit are both running low, because that’s when old programming has the clearest path in.

The download came on a walk. One question: what if there isn’t a problem. What if what I’ve built is already good, the plan I made is already the plan, and I don’t need new information right now. I just need to act on what I’ve already created. I walk through the five moves that got me out of the loop and into action, and how I’ve learned to redirect the same emotional intelligence that used to loop on me toward the people I’m actually here to serve.

In This Episode:

  • The season I moved through earlier this year, when my body and my spirit were tired at the same time
  • The loop that still catches me, no matter how far I’ve built or how much success I’ve already had
  • Why that loop gets loudest exactly when reserves are lowest
  • The question from a walk that broke the pattern for me
  • What it means to be the director of your own life instead of collecting more direction
  • Five small moves that turn insight into action
  • How to redirect emotional intelligence toward the people you serve instead of back onto yourself
